Time and tide waits for no man. But then, everyone is waiting for an update on the VSCO blog. So, as a form of reward and encouragement for being regular customers, here's a rare, but hopefully filling entry.

It doesn't take a 6 pointer to realise that the sidebar has gone through a erm, rather administrative update. Nothing fancy, besides the fact that the sec1s have been added in. Phew. Finally. =D

Some may be rejoicing that the names of the sec4s are removed from the sidebar. Unfortunately for those people, special mention must be given to the sec4s, who were mostly behind the scenes and making sure that VSCO of 2007-2008 ran rather smoothly.

And they are: (in alphabetical order)

Alphonsus Seng
Goh Hao Ming
John Zheng
Lim Wen Jun
Max Chin
Michael Lee
Nigel Yoon
Tan Yang En
Vincent Ooi
Yeo Teck Kian

The posts are irrelevant, so they are intentionally left out. Once again, kudos to the sec4s for sticking with VSCO despite turbulent events.

With the sec4s being promoted to alumni, and a new committee steps up. It's real lag, but it still has to be posted.

Chairman: Eusebio
Vice Chair: Tan Jing Qun
Student Conductor: Bryan Heng
Secretary: Emersius Lau
Treasurer: Kheng Lin Chun
Librarians: Jordan Miller, Tan Wee Bian
Cello Bass SL: Melvin Lian
Percussion SL: Lee Kian Chong
Plucking SLs: Soo Jun Wei, Tan Wee Bian
Strings SL: Kheng Lin Chun
Woodwind SLs: Ashley Lim, Emersius Lau

Yep. The people who are going to bring VSCO to greater heights.

Of course I am pretty sure there are certain groups of people out there who are busy reminiscing about the KC-VS exchange. And others are wondering who ate up the photos, since apparently most of you did not even get to see the photos. We sincerly apologise for not making sure the photos were properly distributed. ):

400 MB sure is a big file size, and wasting valuable bandwidth isn't a great option. Will re-circulate another burned CD containing all the pictures hopefully soon.

And now, we have a (highly belated) appearance by our former chairman!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey people! (:

With the sec 4s already handed over to the new batch of Sec 3 committee, it is indeed the start of a new chapter. However, this chapter would be a really short one and all of you guys really need to cooperate with the new committee. As what I said on Saturday, SYF ’09 really depends on EVERY SINGLE one of you. No, not a one-man show, neither is it only the committee working hard. Maintaining or even bettering the gold we’ve got in 2007 depends on everyone putting in the SAME AMOUNT of EFFORT. And if you guys want to make history next year, you guys have to start NOW.

It’s never too early to start.

Start now and you’ll be there reaching that goal.

Start late and you’ll be on a hangover on top of a cliff, not knowing where you’ll land next.

Just look around you and you’ll see the hard work that is being put in by your seniors, your instructors and most importantly, Mr. Goh. These people have worked really hard, and it’s all because they are striving for the same common goal, that is to raise the musical standard of each and every one of you. If you think you want to repay them for all the hard work they’ve put in and they deserve something, it’s time everyone put words into actions. Show them that you’re equally putting in the effort and if every single one of you can do that, I guarantee you results. With hard work, you’ll never fall too far off.

SYF ’09: less than a year away. Whether it makes or breaks will depend on you all, and that resolve to achieve something must come from within.

Your sec 3 and 4 seniors have been through SYF before and the road to success isn’t simple. There may be times of joy, anger, frustration or even tears, but ultimately when you get the results, you’ll realize that all that you’ve gone through is all worthwhile. SYF ’09, let it be a feeling you’ll never forget, and experience you’ll always remember!

On behalf of the Sec 4 Committee ‘07/’08, I would like to wish you guys all the best and the committee of ‘08/’09 a successful batch ahead! Jiayoux!! And good luck for mid-years too, work hard! Nil Sine Labore (:

Regards,

Yang En

In the same respect, although SYF is not around the corner, it is looming nearer and nearer. It is never too early to shift gear and accelerate.

We have come to the end of this post. *gasp*

PS. Just realised, it's my final post here! ):
But being a non-emo person, the post ends here. (:
